What we collect
From a booking request: your name, phone number or messenger handle, the dates, the pickup point and the car you chose, plus anything else you type into the message.
At hand-off, for the rental agreement: your passport or ID details and your driving licence details. This is required to rent a car legally and to insure it.
From the site itself: pages viewed, referring source, approximate location by IP, device and browser. Yandex Metrica's Webvisor also records how a page was used — scrolling, clicks, mouse movement — as an anonymous session replay.
Why, and on what basis
To answer your request and perform the rental contract — without this data there is no booking and no car.
To meet legal obligations: tax and accounting records, and handing over information when the law or an insurer's claim requires it.
For our legitimate interest in a site that works and advertising we can measure — this is what the analytics below are for.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database. Google and Yandex, for the analytics described above. The messenger you chose to write in — WhatsApp or Telegram — under its own terms.
An insurer, if there is a damage claim. State authorities, where Georgian law requires it — for example a traffic fine tied to a specific rental period.
We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Where it is stored
The site and its database run on Hetzner servers in Helsinki, Finland (European Union). Google and Yandex process analytics data on their own infrastructure, which is outside Georgia, under their own terms.
How long we keep it
Booking correspondence: while we are arranging the rental and afterwards for as long as a claim or a fine can still arrive against it.
Signed rental agreements and payment records: for the retention period Georgian tax and accounting law requires.
Analytics data: for the retention window set in Google and Yandex, which is up to 24 months for the counters we run.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can also object to analytics processing and withdraw a consent you gave.
Write to hello@autohub.rent. We answer within ten business days. We only refuse where the law tells us to keep something — a signed agreement inside its retention period, for example — and we say plainly when that is the case.
You also have the right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.
Children
The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data. Renting a car requires a driving licence in any case.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the version in force. Material changes to what we collect or who we share it with will be reflected here before they take effect.
